Maintenance
Changing filters, maintaining the AiroDoctor

Is it possible to manually reset the hour timer for the filter change before 1,500h have passed?

No, the timer cannot be reset. The intention is to keep track of the operating hours of the HEPA filter and to alert the user at the right time about the necessary replacement. The aim is to avoid resetting this mechanism by mistake or with the wrong intention, as excessive filter use reduces the long-term efficiency and thus increases the health risk. The technical design of the AiroDoctor is optimized for optimum cleaning performance.

Does the photocatalytic filter need to be cleaned and maintained regularly?

The main purpose of cleaning the filters is to remove dust, hair and pollen in order to ensure optimum air flow. Since these particles have already been efficiently filtered out by the first three filter stages, a visual inspection of the metal grid in front of the photocatalytic component once a year is usually sufficient. If deposits are visible, they should be removed carefully, for example with a soft cloth.

Does the AiroDoctor require regular maintenance?

In order to ensure optimum air flow, the prefilter, activated charcoal filter and HEPA filter must be regularly cleaned of dust, hair and pollen. In addition, the activated carbon and HEPA filters must be replaced at regular intervals. Maintenance is simple and safe and is performed on site. There is no need for technical staff to perform maintenance. Simply follow the individual steps from the operating instructions and the video.

Do I have to consult a specialist to change the filter?

No. Activated carbon and HEPA filters can be changed safely and without any problems without the need for a specialist. In this video we show how simple it is.

How often do I have to clean the filters?

We recommend cleaning the pre-filter, activated charcoal filter and HEPA filter (combi-filter) every four weeks. To do this, switch the device off approx. eight hours beforehand. The filters can be carefully vacuumed with a vacuum cleaner. Cleaning is simple and safe, you do not need any technical staff. Simply follow the individual steps in the operating instructions and the instructions in the video.

How often do I have to change the filters?

We recommend changing the integrated activated charcoal and HEPA filter (combination filter) every six to twelve months. Make sure that the device has been switched off for approx. eight hours beforehand. Wear a mouth-nose covering during opening to protect the respiratory tract from dust. The filters can be safely disposed of in household waste. You do not need any technical staff. Simply follow the individual steps in the operating instructions and the instructions in the video.
